Medical Education

The Master of Science in Medical Education is offered to medical doctors as well as other medical professionals who are involved in educating future health professionals. The duration of the postgraduate diploma phase of the programme is one calendar year for students. The PGDip is worth 120 CATS credits and comprises four modules, each of 30 credits, each running over a period of 8 weeks. Successful completion of the first two modules worth 60 credits, will entitle you to a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education. The applicant may wish to continue onto the linked PGDip in Medical Education, which require an additional 60 credits. Those who successfully complete the PG diploma, may progress to the MSc in Medical Education.
